4 Ways to Access the BIOS Interface on a Windows 10 POS System?

November 22, 2024

When using a Windows POS system, you may occasionally need to access the BIOS interface to configure certain parameters. For users new to Windows 10 POS systems, the steps to accessing the BIOS may not be clear. Below, UIPOS shares several methods to help you quickly enter the BIOS interface.

1. You can quickly access the BIOS by pressing specific keys during startup, such as F2, DEL, or F12.

2. If you wish to access the BIOS without logging into your Windows 10 account, you can use a shortcut. Hold down the Shift key, go to the power options, and select Restart.

3. Open the Settings interface, navigate to “Update and Security”, and select “Recovery” from the menu on the left. Under Advanced Startup, click Restart Now. After the system restarts, go to “Troubleshooting” > “Advanced Options” > “UEFI Firmware Settings” to access the BIOS.

4. Open the “Run” window by pressing “Windows + R”, type “shutdown /r/o/f/t 00”, and click OK. The system will restart and display the advanced startup menu. Navigate to “Troubleshooting” > “Advanced Options” > “UEFI Firmware Settings” and click Restart. Windows 10 will load the UEFI BIOS after the system restarts again.

When setting up the BIOS, you should also pay extra attention to the following points:
1. Entering the BIOS may require a password or permission. Please check the settings of the Windows 10 POS system first.

2. Do not change the BIOS settings at will to avoid incorrect settings that cause the Windows 10 POS system to malfunction and fail to run.

3. When changing options, please first understand the meaning and function of the options.

The above are 4 methods to access the Windows 10 POS system BIOS. In addition to being applicable to the Windows 10 POS system, it can also be used in the Windows 11 POS system. You can choose and operate according to your own habits.
